On November 11^th, 2011, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport has cooperated with IIG Việt Nam (the only unit to educate TOEIC programme approved by Educational Testing Service in Vietnam) hold the signing ceremony to introduce TOEIC Program and Testing to achieve TOEIC Certificate at UT-HCMC.

In the ceremony, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Thư, UT-HCMC President reinstated the necessity of TOEIC learning and TOEIC Certificate possessing for students. UT-HCMC students need to know about the standardized requirements for graduation from each eduactional levels. TOEIC level is also categorized regarding to each educational level. In addition, TOEIC plays an important role in career searching process for students after graduation from university.

Dr. Nguyễn Văn Thư emphasized the importance of TOEIC for students.

Ms. Vũ Thị Bích Ngọc, Ho Chi Minh Branch Manager of IIG introduced IIG Vietnam. It was established in 2000, IIG Vietnam is one of five members of International Investment Group (IIG) specialized in testing service, building capacity evaluation standard, and educational auditing in Vietnam. Up to date, IIG Vietnam is the monopoly providing variety of many highly evaluated educational products including the first class tests such as: TOEIC, TOEIC Bridge, TOEFL iBT, TOEFL ITP, etc. accredited and awarded by ETS.

Ms. Nguyễn Thúy Hồng Vân, Director of IEC stated that TOEIC Center will create more chances for students to study and get certificate at their university.

IEC and IIG Việt Nam representatives signed the Memorandum of establishing TOEIC Center at UT-HCMC

Ms. Nguyễn Thúy Hồng Vân, Director of International Educational and Cooperation Centre (IEC) và Ms. Vũ Thị Bích Ngọc signed the establishing memorandum at UT-HCMC. As regulated, IIG Vietnam will support IEC in providing variety of educational evaluate products including TOEIC test, TOEIC Bridge test, teacher training, building the TOEIC pre-testing framework, etc. From the university side, IEC will be responsible in preparing infrastucture, lecturers which help students study in a modern, qualified and high efficient environment.

During the seminar, many students were eager to know about the tuition fee, classroom as well as efficient ways of TOEIC learning. IEC and IIG Việt Nam also gave feedback on students’questions specifically. TOEIC Center at UT-HCMC will create more chances for students to study and get certificate at their university.
