With the aim of setting–up close cooperative partnerships and promoting the development of Trans-national EducationProgrammes between Vietnam and UK universities, the British Council Vietnam (BC-VN) has cooperated with Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport (UT-HCMC) in organizing the Trans-national Education Dissemination Workshop 2010 on October 25th, 2010 at UT-HCMC’s main campus.
British Council and HCMC University of Transport will co-organize the TNE workshop with aims to
·To have a mechanism on sharing experience and cooperation about setting up, recruiting, managing Vietnam – UK Trans – national Education programme in Vietnam;
·To create opportunity for partnership between Vietnam – UK institutions;
·To further identify BC TNE services in Vietnam for both Vietnam and UK institutions
This workshop is expected to bring the institutions opportunities for exchanging and sharing experience on TNE, which may underpin the establishment of an association/organization of TNE programs.
It also creates opportunites for the esstablishment of parnerships and TNE between Vietnam – UK institutions in order to have a well-qualified labor force in key sectors for the country’s international economic integration and development.
This is an international workshop and will be attended by representatives of Vietnam International Education Development - Ministry of Education and Training, The British Council Vietnam, 15 UK’s leading institutions and around 20 Vietnamese counterparts.The whole workshop will be conducted in English.
The Trans-national Education Dissemination Workshop 2010 is organized within the scope of the Cultural and Educational Programme of British Council in cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport.
